GRM’s professionals also
are very experienced in Orthophoto editing. This entails
removing hairs and fibers from the rectified images
using tools such as Adobe Photoshop. During scanning,
a lot of dust particles, hair and other fibers accumulate
on the lens of the scanner. These, in turn, get scanned
and tarnish the finished Orthophoto.
During
rectification, many a time, the bridges or overpasses
get distorted and warped. These distorted overpasses
are edited by replacing them with clear images obtained
from the raw scans.
Sometimes
the trees appear to tilt in various directions due
to the position of the camera during Arial photography.
Orthophoto editing entails fixing the tree line in
such a way so that they all appear to tilt in a uniform
direction.
Orthophotos,
when mosaiced together, leave a seam line thus damaging
the appearance. At times, there is a shade difference
as well as colour difference between two orthophotos.
Orthophoto editing ensures that these seam lines are
removed as well as adjusting the shade, hue, colour
contrast & brightness thus creating a uniform
look for all the orthos.
Orthophoto editing ensures the client receives a clean
image free of any scraps.
